Build Two Adirondack Chairs in a Week

Join us as we guide you through the building of an iconic outdoor chair that will become a quick favorite at your house. In this week long class you'll build two chairs at the same time. With little or no woodworking experience you’ll gain confidence on some essential woodworking machines. You will learn to safely use a miter saw, table saw, band saw and router. At the end of the week you will be comfortable with a variety of processes and equipment in the woodshop and have two western red cedar Adirondack chairs ready for finish of your choice.

Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. July 31st to August 3 2017

Learn to use basic hand and power tools while building an Adirondack chair from western red cedar. You'll be guided through safe usage of tools and lumber selection as well as techniques and tricks to assemble your chair. This iconic outdoor chair will quickly become the best seat in the house.

Build two red cedar Adirondack chair, even if you have little or no woodworking experience! This 4-day class teaches you how to safely and efficiently use the planer, table saw, band saw, circular saw, miter saw, router and drill press as you build this iconic outdoor chair. You will also get some practice using a hand saw, chisel and hand plane. Please bring a 16′ tape measure, pencil and paper, and safety glasses/ear protection if you have them. Class size limited to 7. Meets daily M-TH, 8 am – 4:30 pm.
